The Lotus Europa S1 was introduced in 1966 and is the first variant of the Europa model. It features a 1.5L inline-four engine derived from the Renault engine family, producing around 82 hp. The lightweight fiberglass body and mid-engine layout provide exceptional handling. This variant is known for its distinctive wedge shape and was succeeded by the S2 with several improvements.
