The Lotus 19 Sports was introduced in 1962 as a slightly more road-oriented version of the racing models. It retained the 1.5L Climax engine but was tuned for increased drivability on public roads. This variant featured a more comfortable interior and small modifications to the suspension for everyday use, while still maintaining the performance characteristics of its racing siblings.
