The Saab 95 2-stroke was the original model featuring a 1.0L two-stroke engine that produced 38 hp. Launched in 1957, this variant was known for its distinctive sound and unique engineering. It remained popular throughout its production run and was phased out in favor of the V4 engine variants by 1973.
