The Lotus Elite S2 was introduced in 1976 as a mid-cycle refresh of the original Elite. This variant included several enhancements, such as improved suspension and interior features. It continued to use the 2.0L engine, producing around 140 hp. The S2 variant focused on providing a refined driving experience without sacrificing the performance legacy of the Lotus brand.
